Discover Rotary

Rotary is a global network of 1.2 million neighbors, friends, leaders, and problem-solvers who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

For more than 110 years, Rotarians have used their passion, energy, and intelligence to take action on sustainable projects to help those in need. From literacy and peace, to water and health, we are always working to better our world.

Traditional clubs are the foundation of Rotary. They bring together people with a desire for friendship and a drive to build strong communities, locally and around the world.

The Benefits of Joining Rotary & Rotaract

Rotary and Rotaract members are all about forging friendships, building leadership skills and serving the community, but the list doesn't stop there.  Professional networking, personal development, skills training, world travel, and fun are also among the list of reasons people join our organization.

Causes We Support

Rotarians and Rotaractors believe in "Service Above Self". We are dedicated to working on projects that help those in need, while fostering strong international ties and building solid personal relationships.  We are a non-political, non-religious organization that strives to create the conditions for strong and resilient communities where we live, and around the world.

How Do I Become a Member?

Virtually anybody can join Rotary. If you have a desire to help and the ability to make things happen, we want to hear from you!

Each club decides how they will accept new members. Most clubs have a simple application form, and will ask for personal references.  We encourage prospective members to visit 2 or 3 different clubs prior to deciding which club to join. Focus of activity can vary greatly by club. Rotary encourages this diversity!
