EarlyAct – Ridgewood Public School, Mississauga Malton
I had the honor to attend Ridgewood Public School’s EarlyAct club on Wednesday December 18th.  What an amazing experience to shake hands with approximately 60+ Grade 5 EarlyActors and to hear them recite the Four Way Test!

This is where we can help cultivate their social responsibility at a very young age within our school system.  The Principal, Vice-Principal and teachers were extremely supportive of the program and welcomed Rotary warmly.  Helene and Clem Burrowes have worked tirelessly for several years with the youth and young children in their community.

Our sincere thanks go to them for their incredibly impactful work.

Teacher Miss Asma Mansoor with some of the 50+  Ridgewood EarlyAct members. The others were busy serving Samosas, popcorn, candy canes, fruit drinks, etc. to the many visitors at the Annual Community Tree Lighting sponsored by our wonderful City Councillor Caroline Parrish and our own Rotary Club Mississauga-Malton on Saturday November 27th 2019.

The Early Act were in charge to guide visitors to the boxes of Christmas ornaments and then place it on the tree. There were "photo booths" stations and parents were asked to take photos of their little ones. Colouring pages for kids and adults were a big treat also.

A few of the Morning Star Interact showed up to help, we were grateful.  A wonderful time was had by all!
