Recently we travelled with 34 Canadian Rotarians, spouses and friends on a three week tour of Rotary WCS projects and other interesting sights in South Africa. In addition to visiting many of the famous areas of Cape Town and Cape of Good Hope, the group visited with local Rotarians and stopped in at a school for underprivileged children, where their special needs will be assisted by a Rotary Foundation matching grant.

Through the cooperation of South African D9520 and Canadian D7080 Rotarians working together, the school will be recipient of over US$14,000. in value of special training equipment and supplies. During the school visit, the director explained the unique operating structure of the school to Rotarians, who also had the opportunity to spend time with students in the class room.
