On June 25th District 7080 celebrated our accomplishments under District Governor Mike Gauthier during 2013-14, and ushered in Patsy Marshall as District Governor for 2014-15.   Over 250 Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors and guests came together at the Hanlon Convention Centre in Guelph, hosted by Patsy’s home club – Guelph Trillium.
 
 
 
DG Mike Gauthier presented District and President’s Citations to 48 clubs in the District, ably assisted by DGE Patsy and our special guest RI Director Bryn Styles.
 
Rotary Major Donor recognition crystals were presented to Bob and Sherrin Palmateer, and to Ian Ferguson.  
 
Doug Vincent was presented with a Meritorious Service Award from Rotary International President Ron Burton
Cambridge Sunrise received a Rotary Service Significant Project Award
 
Ruth Broeders was recognized for her contributions with a Rotary Spousal Award
 
Paul Harris Awards were presented from District to Doug and Jan Gerrard, and to Wayne Cowell and Patti Shutak.
 
Recognizing our next generation – Howard Pell presented certificates to two of our outstanding Rotaract Leaders – Chris Saymann and Katie Badali.
Bringing some added fun to the evening - outgoing DG Mike’s alter ego presented our magical new DG Patsy as the banners changed from Engage Rotary, Change Lives to Light Up Rotary.  You had to be there…..
 
The new District Leadership Team were introduced with the traditional passing of the pins – Immediate Past District Governor Mike Gauthier, District Governor Patsy Marshall, District Governor Elect Will Pugh, and District Governor Nominee Bill Proctor.
