Project Overview: 
 
 The project aims to revamp 5 schools Government Schools working with limited resources and tight budgets. It includes improvement in both academic and non-academic areas. These schools are located in district Thar in Sindh province of Pakistan.  Generally throughout province of Sindh and more particularly in poor district of Thar the challenge is to annually maintain the quality of these schools, through insufficient operational budget.
Currently the school buildings lack facilities like clean washrooms, viable library, well equipped science laboratories and reasonable class room furniture. Sindh Education and Literacy (SELD) has also offered to donors to adopt a schools, upgrade and handover to the community.

Community Need Assessment:
The situation of government schools in general and in Thar district in particular is substandard, there is a lack of provision of basic facilities, lack of Conducive environment for learning, teachers development professionals and teachers support in running the show, are their main shortcomings which is addressed by this project.
