Supporting Community Blood Drives
The Rotary clubs of Fergus Elora and Centre Wellington are devoting time to community service by volunteering at Blood Donor Clinics in Centre Wellington. Small communities have monthly clinics instead of daily ones. It is therefore important to have a good turnout. So far, the team involved is averaging over 90% attendance.
Our role is both fun and satisfying; we oversee the refreshments tables at the end of the process. We have the chance to thank people for supporting their community through their blood donation, console those who were not able to, monitor everyone to ensure they are feeling well before they leave and even let people know about Rotary. We love to pay special attending to the many first-time donors!
