Rotary Waterloo Shows Service Above Self

Rotary Waterloo was once again privileged to be asked to help with the Waterloo Wellington Down Syndrome Society's "Any Which Way You Can-a-thon".  This is an annual event, held on October 6th to help raise funds for essential services and programs for those with Down Syndrome and their families.

The weather forecast was calling for rain, but the spirit of these kids could not be dampened.  The rain held off and the participants and their friends and families were able to complete the 2 km course around Waterloo Park.  Rotarians were there cheering them on along the course and helping with the sales of t-shirts and other items celebrating the Abilities of this great community.   This event raised over $98,000!

Rotary Waterloo is very fortunate to have such a close relationship with the Waterloo Wellington Down Syndrome Society.  We love having their members help us at our events and always look forward to helping support their events Any Which Way We Can.
