Serving as District Governor is one of the most exciting and rewarding roles in Rotary. It provides the opportunity to enhance fellowship, extend networking and understand the amazing service of the clubs in our district.
In accordance with Rotary International Bylaws (District Election Guidelines) and District 7080 Bylaws (MOPP - Manual of Policies and Procedures), nominations are now open for District Governor 2023-2024.
Members in good standing who are willing and able to serve as District Governor and have served as Club President are eligible to be nominated.
District Governor 2017-18 (Kathi Dick) is the chair of the nominating committee.
The nominations period closes at Midnight on November 13, 2020 and all applications must be received in hand by this deadline. They may be delivered by email to PDG Kathi Dick, to nominations@rotary7080.org, with the Subject line containing “District Governor Application”. Any emails sent without this title for the subject will not be acknowledged as received. Applications may also be mailed via Canada Post or delivered directly to:

Qualified nominees will be contacted for an interview to be held during the day of November 28th, exact time and location to be confirmed.
The application (Governor-nominee Designate Form) is to be completed by the applicant. Please note that as per Section 12.030.3 Club Suggestions for Governor of Article 12 of the RI bylaws:
"The suggestions shall be submitted by a resolution naming the suggested candidate adopted at a regular club meeting and certified by the secretary. A club shall only suggest one of its own members."
