During the holiday season, the Rotaract Club of Mississauga had the opportunity to partake in a Cookie Dough Fundraiser with local organization, Terra Cotta Cookie Co., based in Georgetown, Ontario. Over a two-week span beginning November 16th, our members reached out to friends, family, coworkers, and Rotarians to pre-purchase frozen cookie dough drops, where our club would receive $5 from every box sold in support of the Ukerewe Island Well Installation Project.
To our club’s satisfaction, we were able to sell over 200 boxes and raise $1140! Orders were fulfilled December 14th, just in time for holiday baking, through contactless delivery or pickup while mandating COVID-19 safety measures. Buyers were encouraged to provide their own reusable bags upon pickup in order to reduce the amount of waste and help the environment. The Rotaract Club of Mississauga would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported us during these unprecedented times. We look forward to partnering up with Terra Cotta Cookie Co. next holiday season!
