Updates from the Rotary Club of Orangeville

February 20 – Dufferin Industry Luncheon

The Industry Luncheon is an annual event hosted in partnership between the Rotary Club of Orangeville, the Greater Dufferin Home Builders Association, and the Dufferin Board of Trade. This event brings local business leaders together to share ideas, network, and enjoy a great keynote speaker.  The Industry Luncheon was a success again this year with over 150 people in attendance.  This year, Mark Cohon, mentor, motivator and business adviser was our keynote speaker.  Mark, son of McDonald’s Canada founder George Cohon, is Chairman of the Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences who administer the JUNOs, and was the 12th Commissioner of the Canadian Football League from 2007 to 2014.  He became a member of the Order of Ontario in 2013.  It was a fabulous day with the MC being our very own Rotarian Doug Harkness, who is also the Chair of Dufferin Board of Trade.

We had so much fun being out in the community on such a bright sunny day. Thank you to Credit Valley Conservation and Friends of Island Lake for making all this possible.
