Fellowship and Inspiration
District Governor’s visit meeting is the most important meeting of the year for any Rotary club.The Rotary Club of Brampton South conducted its Governor’s visit on November 13th, 2023 at the ECLYPSE office, North Bramalea United Church, The meeting was attended by the D7080 Governor Brenda Halloran, AG Fionna Ferguson and husband Graham, guests & members. A Scrumptious fellowship dinner was enjoyed by members and guests and was followed by official meeting.
A formal welcome was given by Secretary Norman Latimer. Club President Kiran Duggal made a video presentation of club’s vision, mission and current as well as ongoing projects. A cheque of CAD 5000 was presented to David Clement CEO Rapport youth & family services who gave a brief about their contribution towards mental health issues of youth. Usha Sharma our new member was inducted officially and also transferred member Peace Anyira was given a club membership certificate. RCBS sponsored it’s second Interact club at Brampton Centennial Secondary School. The club charter was presented to teacher advisors Brar KJ and Bri.
DG Brenda addressed the club members and provided helpful and friendly guidance to take action in the direction of her theme that “The power of Hope, Helping other people everywhere”. The governor extended her appreciation in the competency of our small cub with big aspirations, in reporting the club plan and performance for RY 2023-2024.
