The District 7080 Interact Committee launches the first Interact Leadership Program
The first run of the INTERACT LEADERSHIP PROGRAM took place on Saturday September 27th, 2025.
This is a new program created by the District Interact Committee for new Presidents and Vice Presidents of school based Interact Clubs.
The program was designed to address specific tasks and challenges that Interact Leaders face: 1) How to advocate for Interact and Rotary within the school and beyond, 2) How to plan and conduct productive meetings, 3) How to plan and execute projects.
The idea is that the concepts and skills learned will serve not only to lead the Interact club but also well beyond high school. It is also an opportunity for Interact leaders from many schools in the District to share experiences and learn from each other, working in teams for some exciting exercises and a final assignment.
Seventeen Presidents and Vice Presidents from twelve schools in the Peel and Halton regions.
The plan is to run this Program every year, for the new Presidents and Vice Presidents.
It was a full day of learning, fun, collaboration, new friendships and partnerships and many new ideas.
