Rotary Club of Brampton South Enjoys BBQ Evening
‘Social networking is important in combating mental and physical illness. In these increasingly fraught times, when community cohesion is ever more important, making time for and joining in communal meals is perhaps the single most important thing we can do – both for our own health and wellbeing and for that of the wider community.' Professor Robin Dunbar of the University of Oxford.
Members of RCBS were planning to begin the new rotary year and end the summer on a high note, by getting together for fun and fellowship. Club members were invited to a wonderful Rotary celebration and social at the home of Rtn. Usha and Sunil Sharma On Monday, August 28th, 2023.
It was a club social, a potluck and backyard barbecue feast which started around 7 pm and ended by 9.15pm. It was an unforgettable evening set to be a fiery extravaganza of delicious food i.e. mouth-watering BBQ, ice cold drinks and great company. The high light of the event was that it was vegetarian food and the diversity was enjoyed by everyone. We also cut a cake to celebrate birthday of our member Renu Sodhi .
We had a chance to interact with our prospective member Peace U. This occasion was her first empirical meeting with club members to get a first-hand knowledge about Rotary.
