The D7080 Environment Committee has identified an exciting new educational initiative for clubs within our district. The EnvironFocus Knowledge and Culture Exchange Program (EKCEP) gives clubs an avenue to improve lives and address needs in local and international communities by teaching students how to implement projects that solve sustainability / environmental problems.

The EKCEP Program
EKCEP is a transformative youth educational program linked to sustainable project development. Students from participating high schools within our district are paired with students of a similar grade in developing countries and / or indigenous communities in Canada. The goal of the program is for students to work together to develop innovative ideas and projects that can solve sustainability issues in their own communities.
