A Fun Twist on Fundraising
On the 15th of each month, members of the Guelph Trillium Club gather together for pub night. It’s an optional bonus and a way to get together in fellowship.
But on March 15, the evening took a different twist. Instead of gathering at a local drinking spot, 30 people - members and their partners - gathered at someone’s home for a pot luck dinner. The Foundation Committee had decided to turn the monthly fellowship night into a fundraiser for the Rotary Foundation of Canada.
Silent auction prizes were sought and people were asked for a donation to the Foundation. “It was a tremendous success as we raised $2800 for TRF of Canada, and had a wonderful evening of fellowship and laughter.” reports Patsy Marshall, one of the organizers.
