Updates From the D7080 Interact Committee

Interact Information Session
 
The District Interact team held an Interact Information Session on October 28th. All Presidents and Youth Service Chairs were invited. The objectives were: 1) to Inform all clubs about Interact, 2) how to start and sponsor an Interact club and how to access existing resources;3) provide an opportunity to connect all clubs and establish a network to optimize the wealth of knowledge and expertise; 4) share the activities planned by the District and other projects organized by Rotary Nation-wide and establish organizing committees with participation from club’s Youth Chairs. 
 
The meeting was attended by 15 people from 8 different clubs and teams were established to work on a Spring Interact Conference, the Grant Writing Initiative and an Interact Leaders Conference. 
 
Interactors in Action
 
The Rotary Club Oakville Trafalgar (RCOT) supported the Oakville Salvation Army’s “Trunk or Treat” event on October 6th. Abbey Park Interact Club, sponsored by RCOT brought a team to help with the event, bringing an amazing energy and smiles to several children that came to enjoy candies, hot chocolate, popcorn and games.
