Happy New Year! As we step into January, the month designated as Vocational Service Month in Rotary, we are reminded of the core values that guide us in making a positive impact in our communities and beyond. It is a time to celebrate the unique skills and talents we each bring to Rotary and how we can use them to advance our mission of Service Above Self.
Vocational Service – Our Foundation:
Vocational Service is one of Rotary’s Avenues of Service, focusing on leveraging our professional skills to serve others. It encourages integrity in business and professions while promoting ethical standards. Let us use this month to reflect on how we can share our expertise to mentor young leaders, support career development initiatives, and strengthen our communities through impactful service projects.
Focus Areas for January:
1. Promote Mentorship Programs: Encourage clubs to implement or support mentoring initiatives for youth and professionals to build strong leaders of tomorrow.
2. Recognize Vocational Excellence: Celebrate members and community leaders who exemplify high ethical standards in their professions.
3. Professional Development Opportunities: Organize vocational talks, job shadowing programs, and networking events to inspire Rotarians and young professionals alike. Webinar on 11th Jan 2025.
Engaging Interact and Youth Exchange Students:
January is also a time to highlight the amazing contributions of our Interact Clubs and Youth Exchange Students. These programs serve as the foundation for developing future Rotarians by instilling leadership skills, cultural understanding, and service-minded values. Let’s support and celebrate their efforts!

• Presidents’ 3rd Quarterly Meeting – on 22nd January 2025 Don’t forget to register and participate actively.
• Interact Conference – A great opportunity for youth engagement and leadership development. Date to be Confirmed.
• CLL - Club Leadership Learning – Continue encouraging members to attend and strengthen their Rotary knowledge.

Looking Ahead:
This year brings renewed hope and opportunities for growth. Let us continue our work in Disease Prevention, Maternal and Child Health, and Peacebuilding to create lasting change. Together, we can make this year impactful, building on the foundation of Rotary’s Action Plan and vision for a better world.
