RC Guelph Wellington's Global Grant Project
In conjunction with the Rotary Club of Soroti
The Rotary Club of Guelph Wellington is going to move forward with an international project and Global Grant to build a water and distribution system in Kapelbyong District in Uganda, which includes the villages of Ogolai Village and Okungur.
The water distribution system will provide water to the two villages, a community Centre; a medical facility and a grade school. The whole project, with the Forgotten People Connection will also include the construction of a Community Centre, which will also serve as a Trade School so the residents can learn a trade or a skill that will enable them to work and provide for themselves. As a heads up we have worked with the Forgotten people Connection for more than 10 years and have an excellent relationship with them.
We have a Rotary club onsite, The Rotary Club of Soroti, with whom we have had a number of zoom meetings. The Rotary Club of Soroti has completed a number of Global Grants and we have completed a Community Assessment. We are looking to see if there are other Rotary Clubs within the District that would like to participate in an International Project and assist us.We are pleased to do a presentation to your club or provide more information.
