Kitchener Rotary recently completed a winter clothing drive in support of residents of A Better Tent City, helping ensure individuals were better prepared for the cold months ahead. Rotary members generously collected essential winter items, including coats, hats, mittens, and sweaters, which were distributed directly to residents. Pictured is Kitchener Rotary’s Neil Swayze delivering the donations, sporting a festive Santa hat, with assistance from his wife, who helped transport two carloads of donated items. While the drive focused on residents of A Better Tent City, the support also helped meet broader community needs beyond the program.

This initiative reflects Rotary’s ongoing commitment to community care and practical support for those experiencing housing insecurity. The clothing drive was made possible through the time, compassion, and generosity of Kitchener Rotary members who recognized the immediate needs created by harsh Canadian winter conditions.

Kitchener Rotary continues to look for meaningful ways to support vulnerable populations in our community. Building on the support of the winter clothing drive, an hygiene item drive in January is planned to further assist individuals with essential day-to-day needs.
