Youth Service Month
Dear Rotary Members,
As we step into the month of May — Youth Service Month — we pause to reflect on one of the most dynamic and inspiring areas of Rotary: our youth programs and the young leaders shaping our future.
Rotary has always believed in the power of youth — not just as future leaders, but as leaders of today. Through Rotaract, Interact, RYLA, Youth Exchange, and other initiatives, we empower young people with the values of service, leadership, and global citizenship. Their energy, innovation, and passion for change breathe new life into our movement and keep Rotary forward focused.
This month, I encourage every club in our district to connect, collaborate, and celebrate with our youth programs. Whether it is mentoring Rotaractors, supporting Interactors in service projects, or sharing stories from Youth Exchange alumni, this is the time to highlight how Rotary invests in the next generation of changemakers.
Let us also recognize the clubs and mentors who support youth engagement year-round — your guidance helps shape ethical, compassionate, and courageous leaders.
In the words of Paul Harris, — “This is a changing world; we must be prepared to change with it” — Our youth are not only prepared — they are leading that change. And through Rotary, they are discovering the values and tools to change the world for the better.
Let us continue to fuel their journey — because when we empower youth, we ignite the future of Rotary.
