Rotary Clubs in the Halton region banded together, in partnership with the Degroote School of Business and sponsoring companies to design and successful implement D7080's newest Vocational Services Event!  The successful Pythons' Pit took place on March 23 at the DeGroote School of Business in Burlington where Rotary and sponsors hosted 6 amazing Pythons - Nadir Ansari, Don Dalicandro, Randy Pilon, Susanne Mikler, George Minakakis, and John Romano who listened, mentored and offered financial contracts to 8 High School Teams and 6 Open Category teams.

The presentations were amazing - from one student braving it as a Grade 9 entrepreneur to Grade 11 and 12 students - all were equally passionate about their business ideas and were well prepared with their business plans.  Ideas ranged from pre-packaged, custom made Indian food to sports training devices, to online job search resources to a unique proposition of high heel shoes that were adjustable! Others included designing your own bra, mobilization of restaurants for staffing and order delivery to the ultimate winner of a family brand hot sauce distribution company.

The Open category saw adults with propositions in gluten-free muffins, totem bags, custom coolers and 3 highly technical offerings in the dental, medical and corporate worlds.

Kudos to all the participants and organizers of this event!  Watch for details in the fall for next year's Pythons' Pit!
