1. World Polio Day – Flag Raising Ceremony at Mississauga Civic Centre.
The ceremony was held on October 24 at the Mississauga Civic Centre, raised the "End Polio Now" flag at the Mississauga City Civic Centre. The World Polio day celebration was graced by the presence of Mayor Carolyn Parrish, Rotary D7080 Governor- Suzanne Zbinden, as our special speaker, among other Rotary dignitaries, City Councillors, staff, and members of the Mississauga Cluster Rotary Clubs. This event served as a powerful reminder that the fight against polio continues until every child is safe. The ceremony, though symbolic, was profoundly important and meaningful.
We were reminded of our core values: service above self, unity beyond borders, and the steadfast belief that together, we can end polio for good. By working unitedly, we can ensure that Rotary keeps its promise: a world where no child will ever again suffer from polio.

2. A Cheque Presentation and a tour of HealthWorks Experience at The Trillium Health Partners.
On October 23, 2025, club members had the privilege of an exclusive preview of the HealthWorks Experience Centre at the upcoming Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital and the Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children. During this visit, members presented a cheque for $30,000, marking the final instalment of our Club's $100,000 pledge.
As part of the planning process, Trillium Health Partners built the Trillium HealthWorks Experience Centre, a high-fidelity mock-site that includes full-scale replicas of 10 of the most common rooms that will be in the new hospitals. This space was created to give the clinical teams an opportunity to provide input on the design and test its functionality before construction begins.
