Dedication of Rotary Plaza – Kitchener City Hall

On December 20, 2022, a commemorative plaque honouring the Rotary Club of Kitchener’s 100th anniversary was unveiled before it’s installation at the renamed Rotary Plaza. Many club members were there to recognize the occasion.
Formerly Duke Street Plaza, the area that the city has renamed Rotary Plaza stands at the corner of Duke and Young streets, behind Kitchener City Hall. The plaque will be installed once outdoor construction at city hall is finished.
Established in June 1922, the Rotary Club of Kitchener was the first local Rotary Club and was originally named the Rotary Club of Kitchener and Waterloo.
“One hundred years of continuous Rotary service to the community is quite an achievement,” Kitchener Rotary President Adrian DeCoo said in thanking the city for recognizing its contributions.
