After a hiatus of more than 25 years, the Rotary Club of Shelburne, with financial assistance from the Rotary Club of Orangeville, is once again participating in Youth Exchange.

Our outbound student, Mike, is now in France for his ten months of school and, more importantly, many new experiences. He has already met with his host Rotary Club and given them a Canadian flag.

Our inbound student, Natalie from Switzerland, is attending Grade 11 at Centre Dufferin District High School in Shelburne.

Her first host family, of Shelburne Rotary President Karen, has kept Natalie busy with many new experiences, including catching her first fish during a quintessential Ontario event -- Labour Day weekend at the cottage.

As well, Rotarians are scheduling time with Natalie to provide her opportunities for both new experiences and sightseeing.

While there is considerable effort involved, the Rotary Club of Shelburne has voted to participate again in 2026-2027.  And the Rotary Club of Orangeville  has voted to again financially support  the endeavour.
