The Rotary Club of Mississauga Streetsville supports the Visually Impaired Persons (VIPs) to take the Guinness World Record Attempt a second time. Back in 2024, the Club sponsored the event and set a World Record.
This is about solving rotating tactile puzzle cubes blindfolded!!
The committee members of this group are all passionate volunteers with a mission to support VIPs in rebuilding self-confidence through inclusion in the community. With the slogan ‘Twist out New 2020 Vision’, they believe ability is not defined by sight, hearing or limbs, but by human spirit.
Rotary Streetsville supports events that benefit the community. Our Club sponsors this group by providing a venue in Mississauga for training workshops for months. The training attracts community members to come and learn the solving of the cubes blindfolded. It becomes a platform to showcase inclusion, equity and positivity. Originally a good percentage of instructors are VIPS. Isn’t it amazing? Community members learn from scratch and some later become instructors and volunteer to teach new learners. It is gorgeous to learn and grow together.
As the Guinness World Record Attempt is planned to be in July 2026, this group needs funding from community. Our Club will support them in finance and be one of the biggest sponsors for the Attempt. Wishing them Great Success and to set a New World Record!
