Fergus Interactors Strive to End Human Trafficking
On June 27, Outgoing Interact President -Kate Younghans and one of the Incoming Presidents - Charlotte, were joined by Barb Evoy, Youth Services Director, as they hosted their first ever Trivia Night at the Brewhouse on the Grand in Fergus. Special thanks to Manager and club Rotarian, Denis Craddock, who was incredibly supportive of the work being done, and who generously donated a portion of the entire day's sales to the cause!! Wow!
We enjoyed a full house of guests playing the 40 question game - and everyone had fun!! A Brewhouse gift card and Interact Hats were among the prizes attendees earned.
The youth worked really hard on this initiative and we should all be very proud of them and of their efforts to make it happen! They even wrote and earned a District Grant worth $300.00!! (Thanks so much to District 7080 and the incredible team of Interact Club supporters).
In total, the Interact Club of Fergus Elora raised $1360.00 and donated it with enthusiasm and pride to the Canadian Centre to End Human Trafficking, following a small check presentation on July 18.
