One of the City of Waterloo’s signature events during the Christmas season is the Wonders of Winter light display in Waterloo Park.
This event is run almost entirely by volunteers lead by the Wonders of Winter Committee.
Community Volunteers and service clubs put in hours making this display a special part of the holidays for our community.
For years, Waterloo Rotary volunteers have helped to set up the park for this event. Hanging lights, stringing cords, whatever needed to get done.
This year we took our involvement one step further, to sponsor one of the displays. A beautiful wreath, set up for families to take pictures. To create a memory of their time exploring the light displays.
Spreading joy by helping with this event, is one of our favourite volunteer functions of the year.
