Enjoy the beauty of Canada's largest botanical garden

I can’t wait to host you and your families at our District Conference on May 6th, 2023.  We’ll be gathering at Canada’s largest botanical garden, Royal Botanical Garden, located right here in D7080 in beautiful Burlington.

As I have been visiting clubs and clusters, I’ve been asking what you’d like from your district conference and here’s what you’ve been saying:

“Get people talking, make it interactive!”
“Do something that will attract people who have never been, youth and interactors.”
“Make it family friendly and affordable, please!”
“Can we do a hands-on project and talk about things that are relevant in our community?”

With your feedback in mind, here are a few things you can look forward to:

  • We are working with the Royal Botanical Gardens to offer programming for kids and Rotary partners throughout the day. This includes access to their outdoor play space and other exhibits throughout the day. We are also exploring an environment themed hands-on service project.
  • Our day will be interactive and allow you to meet Rotarians from across our district. You can look forward to an interactive story telling workshop, conversations with community and local Rotary leaders and a Living Library where you can talk with amazing Rotarians from all different backgrounds and experiences.
  • We will be environmentally friendly and encourage you to bring things like your club name badge and access the program virtually.  This is not only sustainable but also more cost effective. Our evening event will be an opt-in event at a local restaurant where you pay your own way for whatever you choose to have.

Registration will launch in January. Look out for more information soon and take advantage of various special discount codes that will come out! In the meantime, please let me know if you have more ideas, feedback, or would like to help organize the day. I and the planning team can’t wait to see you and be together.
