ROTARY IS THE LARGEST AND LONGEST SERVING PEACEBUILDING NONPROFIT IN THE WORLD

Proclaimed in 1917, Rotary’s goal of worldwide peace and tolerance has been an unwavering pursuit: conducting global forums, hosting international peace symposiums, advancing peace through its 60-year collaboration with the UN, as well as grassroots initiatives such as the Rotarian Action Group for Peace.

Welcome to our District Peace Committee page. Our goal is to act as a resource for District clubs on all Rotary peace related topics. Our vision is to actively engage very club in peacebuilding within District 7080. It is our mission to assist clubs in putting Rotary’s core value of peacebuilding into action by:

  • Keeping clubs informed of Rotary peace initiatives
  • Working with clubs to identify peacebuilding initiatives, both locally and internationally.
  • Providing educational opportunities on peacebuilding for interested clubs.
  • Working with clubs to identify potential Rotary Peace Fellowship candidates.
Our plan for the next five years is to become a Peacebuilder District by having each club in 7080 become a Peacebuilder Club, and to have the district actively participate in the Rotary International World Peace Conference each year.
