Club Website Re-Design & Training Program

 
Rotary is a vibrant organization with exceptional people working to build strong communities. Unfortunately, many of the club websites in our district don’t reflect this truth.  An appealing,  well-organized website is key to attracting new members and supporting ongoing fundraising programs.
 
In an effort to make it easy for clubs in D7080 to improve their website, the District PR Committee has identified a web designer, Melissa Wells, with vast experience with ClubRunner. We’ve negotiated a flat fee for our clubs to work one-on-one with Melissa to overhaul their website so that it delivers a strong visual impact, ease of access to key information and consistent Rotary branding on the homepage.
 
Melissa Wells is a member of the Welland Rotary Club and has recently worked with over 70 clubs in Districts 7090 and 7070 to re-design their websites!  In fact, her efforts were recognized this Fall through a Zone 32 Public Image Award given to District 7090 for spearheading the re-design project.
 
The cost for a club to redesign their website is just $300+HST. This is an optional program, with all costs borne by participating clubs. Clubs wishing to participate are asked to complete the short intake form (below). Melissa will work with each participating club in the New Year. (First come, first served.)
 
Following a Zoom kick-off meeting with your club, Melissa will complete the re-design work and you will immediately see the fresh new results in your Club's website. Part of the website re-design is to ensure your Club website works on mobile devices and is integrated with your social media accounts, as well as reflect the unique personality of your Club.
 

A follow-up, 1 hour Zoom training call with be conducted for each club in the program to teach you how to use the ClubRunner content management system. This call with be recorded for your later review.

Who will be covering these costs?
 
The District has secured a special rate for the re-fresh project. Each club is responsible for the $300 +HST cost.
 
Who is doing this work?
 
This work is being supported by professional web developer and designer, Melissa Wells, who is a member of the Welland Rotary Club. 
 
Do clubs have any say in the design?
 
Yes, after you have filled out the form above, you will be contacted by Melissa Wells of Ex Nihilo Website Designs to schedule a Zoom kick off call. There are a limited number of templates to choose from however. Please view a few samples to the left on this page with links to the live club page.
 
How will Clubs be chosen to have this work done? 
 
This will be done based on a Queue System of first come first served basis. Once we receive the website re-fresh form it is submitted to the web developer and date stamped. 
 
How long will it take?
 
Depending on where your club lies in the queue work will be completed in one week of start time for your club, beginning with your design consultation call. Prompt feedback is expected for an expedient process.
