District Grants

District grants (DGs) fund short-term projects, requiring 10 months or less to complete, that will be started and completed in the same Rotary year.  The projects may be local or international and are funded by the sponsoring club and the District.  The District matches eligible project expenses up to a maximum of $6,500CAD.  The minimum match is $2,000CAD.  In order to be eligible for DG funding, a project must align with The Rotary Foundation mission statement:

The Rotary Foundation helps Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by improving health, providing quality education, improving the environment, and alleviating poverty.

The project must also include active Rotarian/Rotoractor involvement and must be completed on or before June 15th of the Rotary year in which the project takes place.  Please note that donations made to a Club for a specific project by individuals or companies are not eligible for the District match from DDF.  However, Club funding arising from donations made at a club fundraiser are eligible for the District match.
