Findings from a recent website audit in D7080. |
Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta has set clear growth targets for Rotary membership. His goal of growing Rotary to 1.3 million members worldwide can only be accomplished with our help.
A recent review of all Rotary websites in D7080 suggests that there’s more we can do to help grow club membership. The review looked for the following 3 traits on each club’s homepage:
Does the homepage….
- clearly state that the club is looking for new members and would welcome inquires?
- include contact information for the club? (Name, Email, and Phone number)
- show at least one current story or image that illustrates the club’s activities and programs?
The findings below suggest that most clubs in D7080 are NOT leveraging their homepage to attract new members and showcase their club’s great work.
Making these small changes to your club’s homepage helps position it for growth. In fact, we think it’s so important that we’re willing to help your club make these changes. Starting in November the PR Team is willing to work one-on-one with clubs who want to tweak their homepage. One-hour meeting slots to edit your club's homepage will be available on Mondays at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM, as well as Thursdays at 7:00 PM.
In order to book a one-on-one meeting with the PR Team your club’s webmaster must first attend a one-hour training webinar on Oct 20th hosted by Club Runner:
If they cannot attend this live training session, they will need to watch this Club Runner training video prior to the one-on-one meeting:
Use the link below to book a meeting time with Dan Dubreuil. He will lead each one-on-one session through Zoom.
Rotary’s growth will be driven by Rotarians. The image we project to the public though our websites and other points-of-contact is a critical to our success. Let's put our best face forward and work to grow clubs in District 7080!
