Summerfest Canada Day Raises $12,500 for Community and Beyond
The Rotary Club of Erin is pleased to announce that Summerfest Canada Day 2026 raised $12,500 to support four organizations making a difference in our community and beyond.
Presented by the Town of Erin and Erin Agricultural Society, Summerfest Canada Day brought the community together at the Erin Fairgrounds on July 1 for an afternoon of celebration, music, activities and family fun.
The funds raised will support:
• Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington — supporting the Send Kids to Camp program, helping local children experience camp while developing new skills, gaining confidence and making lasting friendships.
• East Wellington Community Services — helping its outreach team provide practical support and essential supplies to vulnerable community members who are living unhoused, couch surfing or residing in unsafe housing conditions.
• Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis — supporting the Rural Women’s Support Program, helping survivors of violence rebuild their lives through assistance with needs such as Family or Criminal Court costs and grocery cards for those experiencing food insecurity.
• Bracelet of Hope — helping support the running costs of mobile health units in Lesotho, Africa, providing healthcare, medicines, screenings and health education, while also helping to upgrade the kitchen in one of its foster homes.
