Beaver Tales 2016-2017 | Rotary District 7080

BeaverTales is a collection of letters home from Rotary Youth Exchange students.

You will see a pattern to the stories. November can be tough with occasional homesickness and the struggle with a new language and culture. By February the language is coming but the English is slipping. When May rolls around the students suddenly realize the exchange is almost over, but there is still so much they want to do!

We are proud of our 2024-2025 outbound students! Our D7080 Inbounds have been busy too… 

In addition to immersing in their communities, attending school and joining Rotary club meetings, they were recently able share Canadian experiences and D7080 hospitality at an inbound weekend joined by D7070 students!

   

Recruitment for the 2025-2026 exchange year is wrapping up… we look forward to introducing a new group of students to our D7080 community!

RYLA Recap

RYLA 2025 is shaping up to be a great event!  24 clubs have committed to sponsoring 31 participants at next year’s event (May 1-4, 2025).  We are excited to have reached our full capacity!  Thank you to the clubs who have committed.  The registration portal for applicants will open on January 1st.  Participating clubs will be notified of the link at that time.
